  • Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin tweeted a picture
of what seemed to be a Google job offer first
    year.
  • Many have speculated that Google was trying to hire
Buterin for a secret cryptocurrency project.
  • Buterin says a Google representative tried to hire
he at an intern's salary, most likely because he matched the
    employment profile of the company
    .

In May, the founder of the Etherum cryptocurrency project, Vitalik
Buterin,
he asked on Twitter
if he should stop working for ethereum
Google.

The tweet contained what appeared to be a Google job offer
that said: "I hope you are well and enjoy the weekend!
Google makes sense to you now or in the near future. "

The tweet of Buterin was followed by increasing speculation
Google may be interested in recruiting the 24-year-old founder
for a secret cryptocurrency project.

It turns out, however, that this was not exactly the case.

In a recent fireplace conversation at an event in San Francisco,
Forbes reported
that Buterin said that Google had contacted
him, but that was not for a high profile position.

"I hope we all realize that it was a joke
The Google person sent me an email, most likely because some machines
the learning algorithm analyzed my GitHub and I saw that I had some
highest score in the International Olympics "
Buterin said.
"Apparently, I have adapted the projects like a big one
candidate to take an internal salary. "

While Google pays its interns relatively well, it is
unlikely it would have been a convincing offer for Buterin,

whose current net worth is estimated at between $ 100 million a
$ 200 million.
