The vice-president of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, and the president of the high-level intergovernmental commission Russia-Venezuela (CIAN), Yuri Ivánovich Borísov, held today a working meeting in the city of Moscow, in order to strengthen the cooperation that they have maintained both nations for several years in different areas.

Rodríguez visited the country to strengthen the exchange of knowledge and consolidate the new strategies that point to the development of our homeland, said a press release on the website of the Venezuelan Vice Presidency.

The conversations focused on aspects of the Bolivarian economic agenda, to strengthen the programs, plans and social projects of the Venezuelan people.

The Venezuelan diplomat was accompanied by the Minister of Economy and Finance, Simón Zerpa; the vice president of the Central Bank of Venezuela, Sohail Hernández, and the deputy minister for Europe, Yván Gil.

In this sense, it should be noted that on several occasions the government of the Russian Federation has ratified support for the Venezuelan people, in the face of interference and coercive actions by the United States (US) to destabilize the Republic. In that order, the will to work with Venezuela was ratified in terms of respect for sovereignty.

Furthermore, Russia supports the efforts of the national executive led by President Nicolás Maduro, to implement an independent foreign policy and counter the attempts of the American empire to violate our independence.
