U.S .. Tulsi Gabbard representative from Hawaii bought the litecoin and ether at the end of last year, showing a recently published financial disclosure.
In a financial disclosure report filed on August 14, Gabbard revealed that he had bought more than $ 1,000 in ethereum and litecoin last December. The specific amounts of each token that you purchased were not disclosed, although the form found that its holdings for each are between $ 1.001 and $ 15,000 in the "Income and Unearned" category.
Both ethereum and litecoin also appeared under the "Transactions" Category, confirming that they purchased tokens on December 12, 2017. The price of Ethereum reached a maximum of $ 659 and a minimum of $ 526 on that day, according to the CoinMarketCap data. At the time of the press, it was trading at around $ 278.
Likewise, litecoin traded at a minimum of $ 230 and a maximum of $ 339 on that day, while trading at $ 55 at the time of printing.
The disclosure of Gabbard noted that he had not made capital gains in excess of $ 200 on both tokens.
He joins Virginia representative Robert Goodlatte in possession of cryptocurrencies, which they revealed in a similar deposit he had bought bitcoins, bitcoin money and ethereum. In his deposit, Goodlatte claimed to have bought between $ 1.001 and $ 15,000 in bitcoin cash and ethereum and more than $ 15,000 in bitcoins.
Goodlatte did not declare any income from his participations in cryptocurrency.
