The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has announced its position on the return of Syria to the League of Arab States.

Al-Mayadeen TV quoted diplomatic sources claiming that Saudi Arabia had informed some Arab capitals that it had no objections to Syria returning to its headquarters in the League of Arab States.

According to Saudi analysts, Riyadh would welcome cooperation with the Syrian side and participation in reconstruction, if certain conditions are met on the ground.

Saad bin Omar, director of the Center for Studies of the Century, said that many Arab countries have no desire to interrupt individual diplomatic relations with Syria; the position taken by the Arab League was to suspend the Damascus office.

This happens after the United Arab Emirates on Thursday (27 December) reopened the embassy in Damascus, five years after the withdrawal of the ambassadors of both countries.

The ceremony was attended by Councilor Abdul Hakim Ibrahim Yousef Al Nuaimi, Chargé d'affaires of the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Damascus, the administrative officer of the Embassy Hussein Abdullah Al Balushi, together with a a number of ambassadors in Damascus and a representative of the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants. His embassy is also in Damascus.

In the same context, the Saudi writer Khaled Al-Majrashi said that the return of the United Arab Emirates embassy to Damascus is a very good step.

He added in special statements to Sputnik that everyone would welcome the return of the embassy of Riyadh to Damascus in the case of the return of Syria to its Arab surroundings and that the Kingdom can not return to Syria under Iranian influence, especially that Saudi Arabia has white hands with the Arab and Islamic countries. And that will be proactive in coping with the Syrian people far from any other consideration.

It was expected that the Syrian return to the Arab League in the near future, but is subordinated to the return of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in the Arab circle.
