Kerala has immense potential to emerge as a powerhouse for blockchain developers for the industry, according to Jennifer Greyson, Founder and CEO of Neureal.

Speaking at the ongoing blockchain summit "BlockHash Live 2018" here, Ms. Greyson noted that it is crucial for India to exploit the rapidly growing blockchain technology.

"I created an initiative called Blockchain Sisterhood, which includes over 50 women CEOs and founders of blockchain companies, they are looking for blockchain developers from around the world." I find it easy for me to recommend talents from here, "Mrs. Greyson said.

"There is a shortage of blockchain developers, so some members of the group are in Kerala who now work closely with the Kerala Blockchain Academy," He revealed that he would like to start a women's initiative in this field in Kerala in future.

"We are at the forefront of a technology that has the capacity to shape the world and guarantee trust, decentralization, responsibility and transparency", he elaborated.

The three-day summit, organized by the KBA, offers an opportunity for global blockchain companies to look at the expansion of their operations in Kerala in particular and in India in general.

Mrs. Greyson, who has over 40 books to her credit, said that Blockchain Sisterhood has a representation of about 10% from the United States, while other members come from countries as diverse as Canada and Australia.

Leading blockchain experts and thought leaders from around the world participate in the summit. The meeting examines the possibilities for companies using blockchain to strengthen their presence in Kerala.

Bob Tapscott from the Blockchain Research Institute, Canada, will speak on Saturday at the session.

The KBA offers a training program that aims to create a vast pool of 25,000 blockchain professionals within the next three years in Kerala within the K-DISC Accelerated Blockchain Competency Development (ABCD) program.
