The cover of the AN Prespa agreement, which resolved the 27-year-old dispute between Athens and Skopje, led to a political crisis in Greece, and ANEL leader, Defense Minister Panos Kammenos, resigned from the government.
After the departure of Kammenos from the government, Chipras's party refused to go to early elections, deciding to hold a vote of confidence in SYRIZA. In the vote of no confidence, Çipras and his government obtained 151 votes from the 300 parliamentarians.
