The resistance of some condoms blocked by “60 million consumers”

Do all condoms have the same resistance? Obviously the answer is no according to “60 million consumers”. In a survey published in November, the association revealed the results of its tests carried out on 18 different models (brand, thickness, material). All are marked “CE”, the label of the European standard.

According to these tests, the association indicates the resistance defects of some condom models. Four did not withstand the blast or rupture tests. It’s not just about the brands as the Manix Super are considered very durable by the magazine, while the Manix Contact aren’t strong enough.

Apart from this investigation, the risk of tearing a condom, even considered resistant, is not nil. To limit the risks, check the expiration date. Latex, if it is too old, is weakened and will therefore be less protective.
