Ripple's price (XRP / USD) has enjoyed solid gains over the past 24 hours, partly thanks to a large increase which occurred in the first trade today.
The digital currency has enjoyed some strong exchanges yesterday, which allowed it to recover after the main crash that hit the cryptocurrency market on Monday. The currency rose to an intraday high of $ 0.338, before closing the session to $ 0.335, up from its initial level of $ 0.318.
The price of Ripple increased in the early hours of today's trading, rising to $ 0.350 shortly after the session began. The spike coincided with a similar surge in the price of Bitcoin, which some observers attributed to the temporarily temporary exchange of BitMex cryptocurrency offline as part of a planned maintenance.
BitMex is not among the main locations of Ripple trading, according to data from the digital currency tracker Coinmarketcap. Currently, the most popular XRP trading destination is Binance, which has captured 14.7% of the $ 243 million XRP token that has changed in the last 24 hours. The Bitbank Japanese encryption platform remained in second place, having acquired 14.5% of all transactions in the same period. The HitBTC platform in Europe completes the top 3 with a 10% share.
The price of Ripple has seen a significant decline in recent negotiations after failing to defend its previous gains. However, the digital currency managed to keep the level higher than yesterday's closing.
In today's trading, Ripple's price stood at $ 0.337, at 16:39 BST. The digital currency has gained 2.5% in the last 24 hours, shows Coinmarketcap data. It currently has a total market capitalization of almost $ 13.3 billion, making it the third most valuable digital currency on the market.
