A request from the Pennsylvania Police Department that the volunteers get drunk on grounds of public order have generated an enthusiastic and predictable response.

The Kutztown Police Department sought three volunteers to drink alcohol to the point of intoxication, so that agents could receive training on how to administer sobriety tests on the field during transit stops. A request for volunteers on Facebook has accumulated hundreds of responses and over 1,000 actions in less than a day.

The publication was soon updated with news that the department had volunteers for the training session on April 4th.

The volunteers had to have a clean criminal record and have a responsible part to take care of them after training.

It also requires participants to be willing to drink alcohol until they are drunk.
