The oldest man in the world dies at the age of 113 in Japan

the the family reported that Masazo Nonaka died at dawn today while he slept at home in Ashoro, on the island of Hokkaido, in northern Japan.

His relatives also said that Nonaka died peacefully, due to natural causes.

The centenary, whose family has run a four-generation hot-spring inn, has been certified as the oldest man in the world at 112 years and 259 days last year.

Born on July 25, 1905, Nonaka grew up in a large family and succeeded her parents in running the inn, which is now run by her nephew.

The woman and three of Nonaka's sons were already dead.
