On Saturday, Mexican authorities increased the number of victims to 73, following the explosion of clandestine fuel consumption in the Tuxpan-Pachuca gas pipeline of Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex).

"At today's court, Saturday 19 January at 17:00 (23:00 GMT), the count has 73 dead," Governor Hidalgo, Omar Fayad, said in a press conference at the National Palace.

Accompanied by the president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, Fayad explained that the balance increased after finding bodies in the ground zero of the event and the death of other people already hospitalized.
