For several years the developers of Creative Assembly’s “Alien: Isolation” have been working on a new brand of shooter. SEGA confirmed in a recent interview that the title is still in development despite the radio silence.

Creative Assembly: The new shooter brand is still under development

British development studio Creative Assembly managed to arouse excitement in 2014 with the horror adventure “Alien: Isolation”. Since then, the developers have mainly brought strategy games from the “Total War” series to the market. However, a job offer appeared two and a half years ago, suggesting they were also working on a new first person shooter.

New teams are forming

But Creative Assembly has been suspiciously silent since early 2019. In a new interview with GamesIndustry, Tim Heaton, Chief Studios Officer at SEGA Europe, talked about this first-person shooter, which is rumored to be still in development. So Heaton said:

“Each of our studios really have a brand and now they are all grown up and big. So what we’re trying to do now is look at new brands. There is a new FPS game coming from Creative Assembly and they are building teams around new IPs. Our in-house studios have this dual strategy: do more with what you have and think about a new IP. “

However, Heaton hasn’t given any details on the upcoming shooter. Consequently, we will have to be patient until Creative Assembly officially announces the game. As soon as the first information is revealed, we will update you.
