Israeli Hollywood star Gal Gadot will play the lead role in a new international espionage thriller and is set to earn an eight-figure payday, Ynet learned.
Gadot will be the protagonist Heart of stone, a female-driven version of action franchises like Mission Impossible is James Bond.
Gadot’s salary for participating in the production of Skydance Media makes her one of the highest-grossing actresses in Hollywood.
The script, the details of which are not yet known, was written by Netflix The old guard mastermind, Greg Rucka and Alison Schroeder who was nominated for an Academy Award for drama Hidden figures.
British director Tom Harper of The Aeronauts is Wild rose fame is in advanced talks to direct the film.

Gadot’s last long-awaited feat, Wonder Woman 1984, is set for a Christmas Day debut on HBO Max and in theaters after several delays due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Gadot will also appear in the mystery thriller Death on the Nile (directed by Kenneth Branagh) and Netflix’s Red notice (with Ryan Reynolds and Dwayne The Rock Johnson).
