The Ethereum Classic Labs incubator launches a new development team, ETC Labs Core

According to a recent blog post, the Ethereum Classic (ETC) Labs, an incubator based in San Francisco for projects related to Ethereum Classic (ETC), has launched a new development team known as ETC Labs Core not only to build but also to maintain core projects and create tools for decentralized application developers (DApp).

In addition, core developers will support other blockchain network maintenance services, including crypto mining. The ETC Labs Core team consists of Constantine Kryvomaz, Michael Collison, Mike Lubinets, Shane Jonas, Stevan Lohja and Zachary Belford, among many others.

According to the announcement on average, the team's goal is oriented towards the following areas of development;

  1. DApps. The team plans to make it easier to develop DApps on the ETC blockchain by creating an easy-to-use GUI application for developers to implement their own DApps. The ETC Labs Core team will create an intelligent and easy-to-use integrated development environment (IDE). In addition, the team aims to make the DATP ETP development ecosystem more efficient by reducing operating costs related to libraries.
  2. Protocol. The team will examine Ethereum's Constantinople Hardfork before finalizing the ECIP-1045 which will propose a subset of the Byzantine and Constantinople updates.
  3. Ethereum Virtual Machine (EMV). The team will update EMV to make it compatible with Ethereum in order to support the two Hardforks.
  4. Data analysis. This will basically involve a chain analysis and chain monitoring tools to avoid 51% attack repetition.
  5. Education. The team promises to continuously support new and existing developers with tutorials and guides by providing a new documentation website.
  6. Design. The team will conduct research before the DApp tools to learn more about the DApp development ecosystem.

The ETC Labs Core team will work together with the funding organization Ethereum developments, ETC Coop, the engineering company that helps develop encrypted projects for academic institutions, corporations and government entities, Hong Kong outbound entrance (IOHK), ETC Labs and other Ethereum teams to address all these changes.
