The death of Christians due to religious persecution increases by 40% in 2018

In its 2019 survey, the Open Doors nongovernmental organization registered 4,305 cases of people killed because they were Christian.

The number displayed by NGO Open doors represents an increase in 40.4% in comparison with the previous research.

The last World Pursuit List published on Wednesday (16) covers the period from 1 November 2017 to 31 October 2018.

The organization has noted the growth of 65% in total detainees without trial, convicted and arrested – 3,150 Christians – 133% in attacks on churches and Christian buildings in the period – 1,847 temples, informs the "SEE".

The framework raised year by year by Open Doors indicates the return with greater intensity of the persecutions of Christians, especially in the Middle East Forumin Africa and in East Asia, where extremist groups act as the main perpetrators of violence.
