The permanent committees of the Arab parliament concluded their meetings on Tuesday, during which they discussed draft resolutions to be presented to the Arab parliament on Wednesday in the fourth plenary session of the third session of the second parliamentary term.

Parliament's Office met today to approve the agenda for the plenary meeting, which will be held tomorrow morning, chaired by Dr. Meshaal bin Fahm al-Salmi, president of the parliament, in the presence of the president of the House of Representatives of Yemen, Sultan al-Berkani.

The session will focus on the current Arab situation in light of the crises, challenges and developments in the Arab countries and will discuss the efforts of the Arab parliament to support joint Arab action and address threats and threats to Arab national security.

In this context, the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Political and National Security discussed a draft resolution on the last situation in the Republic of Yemen today.

They also discussed developments in the political and security situation in the Arab countries and developments in the Arab joint action in light of the resolutions of the 30th Arab summit held in Tunis on 31 March and the extraordinary summit held in Mecca on 30 May.

The committee also discussed the general framework and axes of the report on the political situation in the Arab world 2019, as well as the report of the subcommittee on the study of the vision of the Arab parliament to achieve the safety of Arab waters, the current situation and future prospects.

The Committee on Economic and Financial Problems discussed a series of proposals concerning the requirements for achieving the common Arab market, Arab economic legislation and Arab trade and took into consideration the conception of Parliament's work proposals in the field of "electrical interconnection between Arab countries" and in the field "Facilitating the orientation of the digital economy in the Arab world: opportunities and challenges.".

For its part, the legislative, legal and human rights committee discussed a draft resolution on the fight against the Islamophobia phenomenon at its meetings and examined a memorandum on the last joint Arab legislative and legal action. and on human rights, as well as a report on the follow-up to human rights in Palestine.

The Committee on Social, Educational and Cultural Affairs, Women and Youth has reviewed a report on the latest developments in the agreement for the launch of the Arab document on women's rights in the United Arab Emirates and a report on developments in the # 39 joint Arab action in the area of ​​competence of the committee.

On the other hand, the specific subcommittees and subcommittees of the Arab parliament held their meetings to discuss the topics they referred, namely the Palestinian committee, the committee for the preparation of an indicative Arab law bill for 39; higher education and scientific research, the committee for the study of the development of tourism in the Arab world and the committee for the study of the safety of Arab waters as a safety challenge. The Arab national committee, the committee for the study of the proposed legislative law to attract Arab capital to the Arab world, the proposal for the study of the legislative law on food safety and the committee for the study of the proposal of a pilot law bill to organize the work required for charitable and humanitarian organizations, the commission for the least developed Arab countries, the commission for the study and treatment of backward state contributions in the budget of the Arab Parliament and the allocation of the least developed members of the Arab countries .

The senior coordinating committee for Arab joint action will hold its 48th session at the headquarters of the Federation of Arab Chambers in Beirut tomorrow for two days under the presidency of Ahmed Aboul Gheit, general secretary of the League of Arab States, with the participation of leaders and directors of specialized Arab organizations, Arab trade unions and Arab financial institutions.

The plenipotentiary minister Mohamed Khair Abdel Kader, director of the Department of Arab organizations and trade unions, said that the superior coordination committee for the Arab joint action, led by the general secretary, aims to strengthen cooperation, coordination and exchange of experiences between the League and the Arab joint action institutions (Arab organizations, trade unions and financial institutions); .

He added that this session will discuss a number of important topics on his agenda, including areas of cooperation and the proposed mechanism for coordinating joint Arab action institutions to achieve the 2030 sustainable development goals in the Arab region, as well as the cooperation in the field of research on development which deals with the fundamental questions affecting the Arab economy and the business of integration in various sectors. Economic sectors, including the coordination mechanism between the joint Arab action institutions and the Arab League missions.

He underlined that the meetings will deal with the periodic voice entitled "Cooperation between the League of Arab States and its specialized organizations and the United Nations and its specialized agencies" and will be informed by the Committee under the chairmanship of the Secretary General on the results of the Second Conference on media to promote the results and activities of common Arab institutions, which took place in Tunisia from 24 to 26 March last.

The committee will also be informed of the conclusions and recommendations of the seminar on "Defining the regulation on the use and protection of the name and emblem of the League of Arab States" held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League last February.

On the agenda of the 48th session questions will be presented by some Arab federations specialized for observer status in the committee, including the Federation of Arab Universities and the Arab Union for the Development of Industrial Exports.

Plenipotentiary minister Mohamed Khair Abdel Kader said the focus of the session will be "Joint Action Plan for Arab Joint Organizations and Institutions to Support the Implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in the Region" Arab ".
