The Secretary General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, said that 29 draft resolutions were adopted during the joint meeting of foreign ministers and ministers interested in the Economic and Social Council, preparatory to the Arab Development Summit and presented at the summit to be held next Sunday in Beirut.

He stressed that "there were no clear differences or difficulties in the adoption of these decisions and I think that the presidency and the Lebanese way of management and hospitality, and the clear purpose have led to lift the top good decisions".

For his part, the foreign minister of the Lebanese transitional government, Gebran Bassil, said that "the 29 points were approved by the meeting of ministers of the Arab minister of foreign affairs and of the economy by consensus, while the theme of final statement has remained and we will work on it in the next two days ".

Basil stressed that "there is a consensus to solve the economic and social problems experienced by the Arab countries, which are common problems".

"We can not participate in a socio-economic conference and ignore the most important humanitarian problem, even if at the beginning it was a political problem, but its economic and social consequences are great: it is impossible to think of solutions in the light of cohabitation with a serious humanitarian problem,.

"We have raised the issue of women because there can be no development in their absence because they are half society and can not remain under men, and also on the level of energy and the creation of a common market, I think the picture is good on which work, "he said.

"We will push internally and externally to create a consensus on the return of Syria to the Arab League," he said.

"I do not think anyone denies the influence of Western countries on the Arab world, and we hope that Arab countries make decisions that are in the interest of our Arab meeting," he said.

Regarding the participation of Lebanon in the reconstruction of Syria, Basil asked "who can prevent the Lebanese from participating in the reconstruction of Syria".

Friday afternoon, Bassil received in the joint meeting of ministers of foreign affairs and ministers of the Economic and Social Council, preparatory to the Arab summit for development.

"We face major challenges from wars (in Syria, Yemen, Mosul and Libya), malnutrition (in Somalia and Sudan), poverty in most of our countries, despite its wealth, ignorance of modern life despite our knowledge, as well as the fanaticism, extremism and terrorism, we are responsible for its growth, because instead of joining forces to solve it, we are more divided to grow and the solidarity allowance to alleviate its effects will allow us to wage war. One against the other to intensify misery. "

"The result is the beating of our people, the displacement, the displacement and the refuge of millions of people, we see them wandering, lost and moved to the corners of the earth, as if they took a handful of the earth's dust and spread it on the earth. " This is what has affected the Syrians, the Lebanese, the Palestinians and the Iraqis (E Libby) and others. "

He believed that this had happened "under occupation and slavery, it is also admissible to be won under the independence and the national government".

"What national rule is this that favors the foreigner over the citizen and shows the stranger to the relative and abandons his people to replace him with another?"

For his part, the general secretary of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, said: "The summoning of this summit takes place at a very important moment, since the question of development has become its economic, social, cultural, environmental dimension. and of another kind.

He stressed that "the enormous challenges facing the Arab region in terms of development requires us all to crystallize new visions and propose innovative ideas that do not only concern the present and the concerns, but also focus on the future and its rapid developments. in technology, science, economics and production and artificial intelligence, Changing the equations of production and changing the revolution transforms us radically into a real revolution called by some as the fourth industrial revolution. Cooperation with these rapid developments represents a challenge for the Arab region , we must face it and prepare for Ziath ".

Aboul Gheit stressed that "every Arab country can not individually tackle these enormous economic and scientific developments: economic integration and policy coordination in various aspects of development and the various productive activities have become a necessity, not a luxury" .
