This photo of the Great Nebula Turkey was chosen by NASA as the astronomical image of the day for this November 26, in a timely manner with Thanksgiving, which is celebrated in North America.

It is actually the Great Orion Nebula with some changes made by astrophotographer Eric Coles to give it the look of a turkey in honor of the star of the most traditional dinner menu of the year in America.
