On Thursday, IT Services Major Tech Mahindra announced a partnership with Subex to drive large-scale adoption of blockchain-based solutions for telecom operators globally. These solutions will enable fraud mitigation and drive operational efficiencies for communications service providers (CSPs) by reducing compliance complexities and faster time to market, a statement says.

The partnership will enable real-time reconciliation reports with summary data to minimize discrepancies, leading to the reduction of multiple validations and rapid dispute resolution through tamper-proof, verifiable transactions, he added.

The collaboration will also accelerate the liquidation of CSPs and promote greater visibility in the month-end billing cycle.

CSPs will benefit from increased operational efficiency by leveraging blockchain-based smart contracts and form more effective alliances to foster trust between different stakeholders, the statement said.

“As a service provider of choice for global telecom operators, Tech Mahindra will help reduce overheads and improve business profitability.

“As part of the TechMNxt paper, Tech Mahindra aims to offer a cutting-edge solution based on Blockchain and smart contracts that optimizes expenses and proactively mitigates disputes,” said Rajesh Dhuddu, leader of Tech Mahindra Blockchain and Cybersecurity Practice.

Tech Mahindra will launch solutions for telecom operators supported by its proven capabilities in Operational Support Systems (OSS) and Business Support Systems (BSS).

The solutions will be integrated with the blockchain network of telecom analytics firm Subex and the capabilities of an enterprise-grade Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) network.

“With Subex’s strategy of enabling businesses to build trust in the digital ecosystem, we believe Blockchain-based technologies will play an important piece of that puzzle.

“To that end, we have made great strides towards using Blockchain to solve challenges across multiple use cases,” said Rohit Maheshwari, Head – Strategy and Products at Subex.
