TaTaTu, Blockchain based social entertainment platform, will project the documentary Friedkin Uncut in North America and the United Kingdom on its platform, the startup announced on Monday

Written and directed by Francesco Zippel, the creator of the Oscar prize The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014), Friedkin Uncut talks about director William Friedkin, who has overseen films like The French Connection, The Exorcist, Sorcerer, Crusing, To Live and Die in LA and Killer Joe. TaTaTu co-produced the film, with the managing director and founder Andrea Iervolino as the producer of the film. TaTaTu has acquired rights for North America and the United Kingdom in view of its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival this week.

"As we build our content offering in TaTaTu, quality is the first metric of documentary consideration because at its core, it concerns the art of storytelling – a universal concept," said Iervolino in a statement.

"Francesco did a masterful job doing this film, telling this story, and bringing it into a stunning stall of Hollywood stars give it a film strength," he added.

TaTaTu was launched by Iervolino, a co-founder of the film production company Ambi Media, who completed a sale of private tokens at the start of this year, raising more than $ 575 million .

In particular, the film has obtained funding from Lady Monika Bacardi, from the family that owns Bacardi Limited, BlockTower Capital and potentially Prince Felix of Luxembourg, as previously reported by CoinDesk.
