Revolut But With Crypto DNA

Released for the first time in open beta in April 2018, Spot is now fully launched on Product Hunt. Its stated goal is to offer cryptocurrency owners a nice user interface with powerful yet easy-to-use features. The native app for iOS and Android offers an aggregate view of all positions on exchanges and addresses of public portfolios in a single tool, tracking over 2,300 different coins and tokens.

The company is not content with the fact that the app is limited to view resources, as it plans to offer even more advanced business activities. "The vision of Spot is not to build a wallet tracker – we went a little bit at sea with this functionality," CEO Edouard Steegmann told Tech Crunch. "In the end, we want to become the app to manage all your scrambles, a sort of Revolut but with an encrypted DNA."

It also offers what developers call "smart holdings", where embedded algorithms analyze all storage instances of a particular resource and help maximize revenue in all cryptocurrency exchanges, replacing the need for spreadsheets.

Spot also claimed to have built its own market data API built by connecting directly to more than 150 exchanges so that it does not become dependent on someone else's price feeds. "We've rebuilt Coinmarketcap from the ground up, and we're one of the few companies that did it," Steegmann said.

The startup has recently raised about $ 1.2 million in seed funds. The round was supported by Kima Ventures and several angel investors such as Eric Larchevêque and Thomas France of Ledger, among others.
