Satoshi Citadel Industries Ventures (SCI), a startup blockchain of the Philippines, has launched a new business blockchain division called SCI Blockchain Technologies.

SCI, a company based in virtual currency licensed in the Philippines, manages a portfolio of encrypted products including BuyBitcoin.ph, one of the first Bitcoin brokers in the Philippines, Rebit.ph, a cross-border remittance service blockchain and Bitbit . ph, a mobile cryptocurrency portfolio.

The launch is now aimed at the corporate market, providing businesses with consulting services, white label opportunities, assistance with the programming of smart contracts and more. It also organizes workshops and educational events.

"We are delighted to add this new division and ultimately share the technology we've worked with over the last four years," said John Bailon, co-founder and CEO of SCI.

"Over the last few months, companies have been asking what this technology can do for us and our business, and this team is here to respond, and we're incredibly lucky to bring experienced professionals on the technology space for years and who are they were the first to adopt blockchain technology ".

The new division is led by Peter Ing, the company head of SCI. Originally from the United Kingdom, Ing has worked alongside a number of Filipino startups funded by venture capital primarily focused on e-commerce before joining SCI and has over nine years of international work experience with previous clients including UBS, MasterCard and FactSet.

In addition to SCI, Ing is partner of Acceler8 of UnionSPACE, a technology-oriented co-working space, in which he leads the blockchain division of the co-working network in the Philippines called Blockchain Space.

Launched at the beginning of this year, Blockchain Space aims to bring together fintech companies throughout Southeast Asia through a series of collaborative events involving networking, seminars, workshops and training sessions. It also provides a co-working space for companies in the sector. Blockchain Space currently has two locations: one in West Jakarta and the other in Makati City.

"Just as in the days of the first Internet, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are still uncertain about the future value of the blockchain, and while this technology is approaching its tenth anniversary, we are here to help our customers to decipher the value that will bring to their business, in order to build lasting solutions that will help them prepare them for the future, "said Ing." While blockchain is not a solution for everything, we promise an honest guide in helping companies determine it. "

In addition to Ing, other members of the SCI team Blockchain Technologies include the main blockchain architect of SCI, Marco Mejia, the founder of Teravibe.com, the first bitcoin wallet of the Philippines in 2012, the senior blockchain developers Jerico James Flores , a very skilled programmer with experience in research and development, and Tristan Peralta, a developer of Ethereum.
