Of the new cases recorded, 50 are in Saskatoon, while Regina has 83 new infections. The north-central part of the province is also severely affected, with 47 new cases.

Many outbreaks in December

Distribution of cases by age:

  • 19 years and under: 1982 cases

  • From 20 to 39 years: 3359 cases

  • From 40 to 59 years: 2,547 cases

  • From 60 to 79 years: 1,273 cases

  • 80 years and older: 361 cases

The provincial government also specifies that health authorities have carried out 357,142 tests for COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic.
