Romania has more than 500,000 cases of COVID. The number of patients in ATI, the highest so far

In the last 24 hours, 8,062 new cases of coronavirus have been reported, out of 35,467 tests performed. Another 176 Romanians died after being infected with COVID-19. 1,275 patients are currently admitted to intensive care, the highest number so far.

To date, 500,273 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed in Romania on 4 December. 390,212 patients were declared cured.

Following the tests carried out nationwide, compared to the last report, 8,062 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) have been recorded, cases that had not previously had a positive test.

The coefficient of accumulated infections at 14 days, reported per 1,000 inhabitants, is calculated by the Directorates of Public Health, at the level of the Municipality and of the counties of Bucharest. Apart from the recently confirmed cases, following the re-examination of already positive patients, 1,453 people were positively reconfirmed.

To date, 12,052 people have died diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection.

Between 03.12.2020 (10:00) – 04.12.2020 (10:00) 176 deaths (109 men and 67 women) were reported, of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Argeș, Arad hospitals, Bacău, Bihor, Botoșani, Brăila, Brașov, Buzău, Călărași, Caraș-Severin, Cluj, Constanța, Covasna, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Galați, Gorj, Harghita, Hunedoara, Ialomița, Iași, Maramureș, Tormuceaș, Mureeaș Vaslui, Vrancea, Ilfov and Bucharest.

Of these, 2 deaths were recorded in the age category 30-39 years, 6 deaths in the age category 40-49 years, 19 deaths in the age category 50-59 years, 42 deaths in the age category 60- 69 years, 64 deaths in the 70-79 age group and 43 deaths in the over 80 category.

170 of the deaths recorded involved some patients with comorbidities, 4 deceased patients did not have comorbidities and for 2 deceased patients no comorbidities have been reported so far.

In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 12,940. Of these, 1,275 are hospitalized at ATI.

To date, 4,205,480 tests have been developed nationwide. Of these, 35,467 were performed in the past 24 hours, 23,340 based on case definition and medical protocol, and 12,127 on request.

On the Romanian territory, 45,133 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are in isolation at home and 12,138 people are in institutionalized isolation. Additionally, 78,655 people are quarantined at home and 64 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours, 4,776 calls were recorded to the single emergency number 112 and 745 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), which was mainly open to inform citizens.

Following the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, police and gendarmes applied, on 3 December this year, 5,711 penalties for minor crimes, equal to 987,700 lei.

Furthermore, through the competent structures of the Police Forces, 1 crime was ascertained yesterday for contrasting the fight against diseases, an act envisaged and punished by art. 352 criminal code.

“We remind citizens that the Ministry of the Interior has made operational, starting from 04.07.2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where violations of the health protection regulations can be reported. The tenders are taken over by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified aspects ”, reports GCS.

As for the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, 6,914 Romanian citizens were confirmed infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (coronavirus): 1,936 in Italy, 1,253 in Spain, 124 in France, 3,056 in Germany, 167 in the United Kingdom sea , 36 in Hungary, 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the United States, 123 in Austria, 22 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 8 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus , 93 in Greece, 10 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine, 8 in the United Arab Emirates, 11 in the Republic of Moldova and one in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, Republic of of Congo, Qatar, Vatican, Portugal and Egypt.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and so far, 127 Romanian citizens abroad, 32 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the United States, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of the Congo and one in Greece have died.

Of the Romanian citizens confirmed infected with the new coronavirus, 797 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
