Ripple, the leading fintech blockchain company at the time and the parent company of the second largest digital asset, XRP has released a series of innovations that it did in 2018. The series covered everything from the scope of its products in RippleNet to its success in the domain of academics, the adoption and clarity of policies.

In the first week of October, one of Ripple's main products, xRapid, which was created to solve the problem of liquidity in the field of cross-border remittances, saw commercial adoption. Three of the major players in the industry, namely MercuryFX, Cuallix and Catalyst Corporate Federal Credit Union, have chosen xRapid as a financial solution.

A further breakthrough mentioned by Ripple was the impact of the client that has spread all over the world. According to the company, the customer experience saw a noticeable improvement as the XRP transaction fee fell from $ 20 to $ 2 in 2018.

On the academic front, Ripple launched an initiative known as the University Blockchain Research Initiative [UBRI]. Here, a total of 30 large and prestigious academic institutions took part in the joint effort, in which some of them are UC Berkeley, Princeton University, Korea University, McCombs School of Business, UCL, University of Waterloo, University of Oregon and many others .

Finally, XRP also saw a lot of adoption in payment systems and exchanges. Companies such as One Pay FX, Coil, XRP Tip Bot from Santander have used the digital resource to bring a mainstream approach to its use in everyday life.

StuartXRP, a Twitter user and an XRP fan and follower on one of the discoveries commented:

"Congratulations to Ripple on your well-deserved success, 2018 was great, and I'm sure the 2019 will be even bigger, so keep it up."

Greg, another member of the cryptocurrency space and a follower of blockchain technology also wrote:

"I can not wait for Ripple to light up the new year with XRP"
