Pizza Hut accepts Bitcoin for cakes in Venezuela

A popular US-based pizza chain has started accepting cryptocurrency payments at all of its stores in Venezuela.

According to a November 27 tweet from crypto services firm CryptoBuyer, Pizza Hut stores in the South American nation now to accept crypto as a form of payment for food and drinks. The move follows the cryptocurrency firm partnering with Mega Soft to promote adoption in Venezuela by facilitating crypto payments at over 20,000 stores and businesses.

“Pizza Hut nowadays cannot be separated from these technological advances and all those that incorporate new approaches to everyday needs,” said Richard ElKhouri, Venezuelan Operations Director of the pizza chain, in an interview. with the local news ElAxioma. “It is important that we welcome young people, modern adults and technologically competent people”.

Using CryptoBuyer, customers can buy pizza at the restaurant chain with Bitcoin (BTC), Litecoin (LTC), Dash (DASH), Binance Coin (BNB), Binance USD (BUSD), Ether (ETH), Tether (USDT) , Dai (DAI) and its native XPT token. Pizza Hut has offices in the capital, Caracas, as well as in the cities of Maracay, Maracaibo and Barquisimeto.
