Ripple's international partner, Banco Santander, which is a Spanish multinational commercial bank and financial services company, recently won a Financial Innovation Award at FIAwards 2018 at Hilton London Bankside. The award was won by the bank for integrating Ripple's blockchain technology into its service called OnePayFX. In a tweet written by Marcus Treacher, Santander's Global Head of Strategic Accounts said:

"Santander wins the 2018 Financial Innovation Award for #onepayfx, their international payment solution that works on @Ripple." "We are delighted with this news!"

Santander has partnered with Ripple at the start of this year for OnePayFX to provide its customers with the luxury of rapid payments for international transfers. When the service was launched, customers from Spain, the United Kingdom, Brazil and Poland could use the facility. In his official press release at the time of launch, Santander also wrote:

"In addition to being faster, the service shows customers the exact amount that will be received in the destination currency before making the transfer."

In the same version, Santander also talked about his $ 200 million fintech venture capital fund that was invested in Ripple in 2015. In addition, there were at least 20 investments in several fintech startups that revolve around artificial intelligence, big data, payments, blockchain, financial consulting, automotive finance / mortgages and SMEs.

One Pay FX uses xCurrent which is a product that runs under RippleNet. Other products under the same umbrella are xRapid which uses XRP to provide liquidity and xVia, which is an API that makes RippleNet access to users easier.
