Starting from 6:00 on Tuesday, the eviction of the 33 tents in which 127 Venezuelan citizens took refuge in the humanitarian camp installed by the district in the locality of Engativá in Bogotá began.

The 33 tents campsite was activated in November last year, with capacity for the 500 people who arrived at that time.

Many of them moved to other parts of the country, so only a little over 100 remained until the time of compensation.

María Angélica Trujillo, manager of Venezuela in Bogotá, was responsible for the step center, which noted that the migrants of the neighboring country knew it was not permanent and indicated that, after this, temporary shelters will be installed, where they may remain until three days. .

"There will be no more humanitarian camps … What the District is preparing are temporary shelters where there is room for 50 people, with a maximum stay of three days", explained the manager.

The removal of the camp is led by the Social Secretariat with the accompaniment of the Colombian Migration, the Colombian Family Institute of Wellness (ICFB), the police, the office of the Procurator and the Personería.
