New record for patients with severe Covid-19. ATI sections are close to maximum capacity

In the last 24 hours there have been 8,134 new cases of COVID-19, out of 33,021 tests performed. Another 161 Romanians died after being infected with the coronavirus. 1,249 COVID patients are hospitalized at ATI, the largest number of severe coronavirus patients to date.

To date, on November 28, in Romania, 465,982 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed.

335,764 patients were declared cured.

Following the tests carried out at national level, compared to the last report, 8,134 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) have been recorded, being cases that had not previously had a positive test. The distribution by counties of the total and new cases can be found in the table below.

To date, 11,045 people have died diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection.

Between 27.11.2020 (10:00) – 28.11.2020 (10:00) 161 deaths (94 men and 67 women) were reported, of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Argeș, Arad, Bacău, Bistrița-Năsăud, Bihor, Botoșani, Brăila, Brașov, Călărași, Caraș-Severin, Cluj, Constanța, Covasna, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Galați, Gorj, Harghita, Hunedoara, Iași, Maramureşi, Seaucuși, Seaucimiș Tulcea, Vaslui, Vrancea and Bucharest.

Of these, 1 death was recorded in the 30-39 age group, 1 death in the 40-49 age group, 16 deaths in the 50-59 age group, 40 deaths in the 60 age group -69 years, 56 deaths in the 70-79 age group and 47 deaths in the over 80 category.

151 of the deaths recorded concerned some patients with comorbidities and 10 deceased patients did not have comorbidities.

In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 13,040. Of these, 1,249 are hospitalized at ATI.

To date, 4,081,557 tests have been developed nationwide. Of these, 33,021 were performed in the past 24 hours, 20,669 based on case definition and medical protocol, and 12,352 on request.

In Romania, 46,389 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are in home isolation and 11,952 people are in institutional isolation. In addition, 70,150 people are quarantined at home and 62 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours, 4,859 calls were recorded to the unique emergency numbers 112 and 618 of the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), mainly open to inform citizens.

Following the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, on November 27 this year, 6,182 penalties for minor crimes, equal to 950,700 lei.

In addition, yesterday 8 crimes were ascertained through the competent police structures to combat the fight against diseases, an act envisaged and punished by art. 352 criminal code.

We remind citizens that the Ministry of the Interior has made operational, starting from 04.07.2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where violations of health protection regulations can be reported.

The calls are taken over by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified problems.

As for the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, 6,914 Romanian citizens were confirmed infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (coronavirus): 1,936 in Italy, 1,253 in Spain, 124 in France, 3,056 in Germany, 167 in the United Kingdom, 36 in Hungary, 28 in Holland, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the USA, 123 in Austria, 22 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 8 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 93 in Greece, 10 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine, 8 in the United Arab Emirates, 11 in the Republic of Moldova and one in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, Republic of Congo, Qatar , Vatican, Portugal and Egypt. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic and so far, 127 Romanian citizens abroad, 32 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the United States, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of the Congo and one in Greece have died.

Of the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus infection, 797 were declared cured: 677 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
