Mibanco arrived in Colombia, a financial entity that was born from the merger of Bancomarca and Edyficar with the aim of expanding access to credit, promoting a greater economic impact in remote areas and generating a significant contribution to the microfinance model of the Colombian financial system.

Mibanco is part of Credicorp’s microfinance business line, a leading financial services holding company in Peru with a presence in four countries in the region and listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

“Since last year we have embarked on a transformation process that included the takeover of Encumbra and the launch of our new brand, Mibanco. We are very excited because this transaction strengthens us entirely and allows us to expand our office network. Bancomarca and Encumbra customers, who are now part of Mibanco, will have at their disposal a broad portfolio of products and services, a network of wider service channels throughout the country and business consultants specialized in the segment.
