Litecoin takes the UFC octagon in the new sponsorship agreement

The Litecoin Foundation has partnered with Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), one of the leading mixed martial arts organizations, in an agreement to promote cryptocurrency.

The agreement will see the litecoin logo displayed on the octagonal combat canvas in an upcoming event called UFC 232 – a rematch between former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones and heavyweight heavyweight Alexander Gustafsson. The fight is scheduled for December 29 in California.

Claiming to be the first cryptographic sponsor for a UFC event, Litecoin Foundation He said Thursday that the "millions of viewers" in such events could contribute to raising public awareness and stimulating interest in litecoin.

"With brands and institutions that continue to push in cryptocurrency and blockchain, this is the umpteenth sign of this technology that is approaching the mainstream", he continued. The foundation, which aims to promote the adoption of cryptocurrency, also said it hopes to continue its long-term partnership with the UFC.

This time the Canadian mixed martial artist Rory MacDonald signed a contract last year sponsorship agreement who saw him wear outwear branded with the cryptocurrency dash for a Bellator 192 combat. Even former MMA lightweight champ Michael Chandler signed an endorsement deal with the CoinLion encryption platform in January.
