On the night of Thursday 3 December, the misfortune due to crime and insecurity in Colombia was taken by the musician Juancho De la Espriella, renowned accordionist who has collaborated with Vallenato artists such as Peter Manjarrés, Diomedes Díaz, Silvestre Dangond, Martín Elías and El Mono Zabaleta.

According to Juan Carlos García, manager of the musical group Juancho’s, the victim was about to arrive at a hotel located north of Barranquilla, in the company of his wives and two children:

Among the first public pronouncements that denounce the theft and warn the authorities about the incident, there is that of the singer-songwriter Vallenato Peter Manjarrés, with whom De la Espriella has already collaborated. The artist said about the theft through his Twitter account:

And, after filing a formal report of the theft with authorities, the accordionist revealed that the criminals who stole it took three iPhones, AirPods, a gold chain, a Louis Vuitton brand women’s wallet, a gold-dipped pencil. , some Gucci glasses and 500,000 pesos in cash, bringing the total amount of theft to 45 million pesos.

According to Juan Carlos García, before the crime, De la Espriella was worried because he had to solve many work issues and that after the theft there is little to do as he is incommunicado and undocumented.

Before the crime, the victim was in the company of his family in a shopping center located north of Barranquilla.
