An interesting Crypto report by AMB revealed the details of Ripple and how it was forged in what is known today as Stellar (Https://ambcrypto.com/xrp-and-stellar-lumens-xlm-i-dont-know-anyone-who-develops-on-stellar-says-ripple-executive/).

According to the statements made, Jed McCaleb has let Ripple begin Stellar and in order to get a negative reputation from Ripple, McCaleb tried to download all of his XRPs simultaneously. This however did not happen while Ripple Executives managed to prevent him from doing so by pressuring him.

As for David Schwartz, CTO of Ripple, McCaleb was known for having ideas that did not reflect the ideologies of the Ripple Board of Directors. So, him

"He started Stellar based on those ideas [and tried] quickly download his XRP and Ripple acted to stop him through a series of lawsuits. "

McCaleb left the company after agreeing to postpone his original idea of downloading his XRP tokens, as well as selling his company shares. He also had to make sure that both he and his family members gradually gave up their holdings in XRP. This may have induced McCaleb to have a harsh opinion on Ripple, as he is known to have consistently emphasized the defects of the company protocol.

Ripple's chief strategist, Cory Johnson, has also shared his opinion on Stellar and seems to be struck by the fact that such a project has been completed and has since gained support. However, he believes that the range of action is not as broad as that of Ripple because,

"There are a lot of companies that are developing on XRP, I do not know many that are developing on Lumens as well as Stellar."

What do you think about this? Is it smart for Ripple to take Stellar so lightly considering the number of support that this last managed to protect? Let us know in the comments below!
