[ad_2][ad_1]

If you're reading this article, you've probably done your research and made the decision to get your hands on some of the gods Ripple native token, XRP. If so, we'll show you where to find it, how to buy it and briefly what to do with it once it's yours.

Buying XRP is like buying any other cryptocurrency on the market today. There are some paths you can take, but the process can always be divided into two familiar steps: buy encryption, secure encryption.

This guide will focus on the different gateways currently available to investors.

Get your XRP Wallet address first

That said, we will start by directing you to ours Guide to the cryptocurrency portfolio. It's not tailored to XRP, but it will make you familiar with the most secure cryptographic storage methods, if you're not already.

This is important because the first method of purchase below requires a personal portfolio address before the purchase can be made, and it is generally advisable to have control over the portfolio containing your XRP.

We recommend the use of a hardware portfolio, but if you are not interested in buying a cryptocurrency portfolio, choose a paper wallet for maximum security or a desktop wallet.

Whatever option you choose, be sure to:

  • Supports XRP.
  • Understand what you are doing.
  • The portfolio developers you choose can be reliable.
  • Never share / lose your private keys.

Once you have a public key for the address of your personal XRP wallet, you are ready to buy XRP. We're going now!

Purchase XRP

Entering the cryptocurrency market becomes easier every year and has led to 2 basic methods of access, which can be reduced as such: either you can buy the desired cryptocurrency with fiat, or you need to buy it with a more traditional cryptocurrency, to example like BTC or ETH.

Fortunately for you, XRP is popular enough to buy with the fiat.

While this is the most convenient method for beginners, it is not optimal if you plan to buy frequently due to higher fees. See the method below if you plan to enter the cryptocurrency space, or average cost of the dollar in.

Safety precaution: make sure that the exchange of websites you are visiting is sureand the domain name is correctly written.

How to buy XRP directly with USD or EUR

There are some websites that currently facilitate the purchase of XRP with fiat directly from their website. More precisely, send them your money, go to an online crypt to buy your XRP, then send it directly to your XRP wallet.

As you can see, you're paying an intermediary, which is largely what the creation of cryptocurrencies decided to avoid in the first place. But if you are an absolute beginner, it can help to facilitate the learning curve.

Changelly

Changelly It is one of the most popular and easy-to-use exchanges available today. It is incredibly easy to register and require minimal information to get started.

Starting from scratch, the first thing you need to do is, of course, sign up. Click the Join button in the upper right corner of the screen, click Sign up, and then enter your email address. We will send you an email immediately. Click on the link in your email and reply by submitting your new login credentials.

Alternatively, you can use your Gmail, Facebook or Twitter account to sign up and sign in.

Select Fiat on XRP

Now that you have an account, make sure you've logged in, then go to Changelly's homepage. You will see 2 input fields, 1 for the type of currency you send and 1 for the cryptocurrency that will be sent to you in return.

Select USD or EUR from the first drop-down menu, then select XRP from the second drop-down menu.

Now you can enter the amount of fiat you wish to send to Changelly, with a minimum deposit of $ 100 USD or $ 100 EUR. When you enter your fiat quantity, the second input field will automatically show the amount of XRP you will receive.

Enter the XRP Wallet address

Click Swap Now and you will be shown the next screen. Here you will enter your XRP wallet address. You also have the option to enter a destination tag, which provides the recipient with a payment receipt.

After entering the address of your XRP wallet, you will be directed to a screen requesting billing information. So, it's time to pay. Changelly currently accepts Visa and Mastercard credit / debit cards and works with a company called Simplex to manage the payment and exchange process. Enter your details and you will be directed to the verification process.

Check payment and identity

You will need to have your phone and e-mail address ready for this step, as both will be used to verify the transaction. Follow the steps and click Continue.

Next, you will need to verify your identity, which is the most detailed part of this process. It also requires more trust Changelly. Since you're sending them fiat, they are necessary have proof of your identity.

This means that you will need to send a photo of your passport or ID, as well as a picture of you holding your document in front of your face. You will come across a step like this for any regulated entry point on the market.

Once your documents are uploaded, Changelly will check your documents and, upon completion, Simplex will process your transaction and send the XRP to your personal wallet. If you're having problems, take a look at them FAQ pageand if it fails, contact them via the chat icon in the lower right corner of the screen.

How to buy XRP with Cryptocurrency

There is not much difference between buying XRP and fiat versus buying with another cryptocurrency.

The same process is still underway, except that you are now involved in every phase and get more for your money thanks to this. If it's the first time you buy cryptocurrency, it might seem like a lot to take, but it's a fairly simple process: buy crypto, exchange XRP, XRP secure.

Purchase of Crypto with Coinbase

One of the easiest ways to enter the cryptographic market (so far) is using Coinbase to buy a supported currency.

Initially, they only supported Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin. But in the course of 2017 they added 9 altcoins to their platform, with plans to add more.

There is a opportunity we will see XRP listed in the future, which would mean that the entire buying process could be done using Coinbase.

Until then, there are a couple of additional steps to take to buy XRP with another cryptocurrency.

Sign up with Coinbase

To get started, you will have to do it create an account with Coinbase. Go to their website and find the Start button in the upper right corner of the screen.

Fill in the information on the screen and click "Create account". Coinbase will send you a confirmation e-mail. Open it, click on the relevant link and you will be asked for your mobile number.

Once entered, you will be sent a 7 digit code for verification. Once your phone is verified, you will be redirected to your Dashboard.

verify your identity

A pop-up window should appear when you arrive at your Dashboard, asking to verify your identity, and you can always find this process in your settings. Click Upload ID and you will be asked for an ID form.

It depends on the country you live in, but acceptable forms of ID usually include a passport or driver's license. After selecting the cheaper option, you will choose how to upload a photo of your ID and when it is finished, Coinbase will check it.

Then you will be able to add a payment method.

If for any reason your ID is not verified, please try again or try a different form of ID. It can sometimes be a critical point and may require some attempts.

Add a payment method

Depending on your country, you will have different options for payment methods. The chart below shows the possibilities for US customers. To find a similar chart for your country, check this Coinbase support page.

The quickest way to start is to set up your Visa or Mastercard debit card. Click on the following links to learn how to register Bank account or wire transfer.

Go to your Settings and find Linked Accounts. Click Add a payment method, then select Debit card. Enter your card details.

Coinbase will temporarily charge your account 2 times between $ 1.01 and $ 1.99 (it does not actually withdraw from your account). This is used as a means of checking the account.

Open your online banking information and find the 2 rates. Now you will enter the amounts in cents ($ 1.XX) for both charges in Coinbase and the payment method is now verified.

Buy Crypto

As mentioned earlier, XRP is not available on Coinbase, but it is worth noting that if it were, you could buy it at this point.

Since it is not available, we will buy Bitcoin (BTC), which we will then exchange for XRP on another exchange.

Go to Pricing or Account from your Dashboard, then click Bitcoin. Click the Buy button and enter the amount in dollars you wish to spend. Under the dollar amount, you'll see the payment method you added in the previous step.

Double check (you have 1 payment method at this point, so it should be correct), then click on Purchase Preview.

The next screen will show you the transaction information and the amount of BTC you will receive. Be sure to note when you will be able to withdraw from Coinbase. Users of debit cards should be able to do it instantly.

Click Confirm Purchase and, if everything goes as it should, you now have Bitcoin!

BTC Trading for XRP on Binance

Next, you will need to deposit your BTC in an exchange that supports XRP. For this example, we will use Binance.

The registration process is similar to that of Coinbase, with the exception of 2-factor authentication (2FA) is required to complete the registration with Binance.

2FA is available and recommended for Coinbase, Changelly or any cryptographic exchange and is very simple to set up.

To record

Go to Binance and find the Register button. Enter your details and click on Register.

Next, you will need to complete your 2FA. This requires downloading the Google Authenticator app and connecting to your Binance account. The process is well structured and should not cause problems. If you run into an obstacle, Google should solve it.

Deposit BTC in Binance from Coinbase

To deposit the BTC purchased with Coinbase, go to the Funds tab and select Deposits from the drop-down menu. From here, go to the left side of the screen and find the main drop-down menu, then select Bitcoin.

You will see a screen like the one below:

Source: Binance

The important information here is your BTC deposit address. In this way Coinbase will know where to send your funds.

Copy your BTC deposit address and go to the Coinbase dashboard. Find the Accounts tab, go to Bitcoin, then find the Send button. If you're on your phone, it's a small paper airplane in the top right corner of the screen.

A screen will appear allowing you to enter your Binance BTC deposit address. Paste the Binance deposit address, select the amount of BTC you want to send, and click Submit.

Coinbase will ask you to verify the address you are sending, and it is always a good idea to check the first and last character (at least) of the filing address to make sure they match.

The sending of funds to the wrong address will result in the loss of such funds.

Trade for XRP

You may need to wait a little (it may take an hour) for the BTC to arrive at your exchange portfolio, but once the transaction is complete, you will purchase your XRP with the BTC you just deposited.

Find the Exchange tab in the upper left corner of the screen and select Base from the drop down menu. The page that will appear may seem a little confusing, but like the rest of this process, it's easy to get used to.

Go to the right and look for the XRP / BTC pair, as in the image below:

Source: Binance

You will be greeted with the XRP / BTC chart, among other things, but the sections we need right now are right below the graph and on the left. Find the box labeled Buy XRP.

You will be responsible for selecting the price you wish to purchase (top entry field) and the amount of BTC you wish to spend (entry field below). The amount of XRP will be calculated automatically in the central input field.

Source: Binance XRP / BTC

For this example, 100% of Bitcoin in our Binance Portfolio is converted to XRP. Of course, you can select any percentage you wish to purchase XRP with. You can also select any price you wish to pay, but just because you select a price, it does not mean that the order will be filled.

When you click Buy XRP, an order will be placed. If you are buying close to the current price, and since XRP is a high-volume coin, the order should be filled almost instantly. That said, you may have to wait for a buyer and your order could be filled in segments.

You can keep an eye on your progress by going to the Orders tab in the top menu and selecting Open Orders from the drop down menu. Once the order is full, you officially have your XRP.

Collect XRP on your personal wallet

It is well known that within the cryptocurrency space, unless quick access to your coins is needed for an exchange, they should not be left in an exchange. This is one of the, if not the the most risky way to keep your cryptography.

Go to the Funds tab and click on Sale in the drop down menu. Find XRP from the long list of tokens, then click on Withdraw. You will be directed to a semi-familiar screen, which will request the address of your personal XRP wallet.

Warning: Once again, it is very important that the address of your XRP wallet is copied exactly as it is. Any deviation will result in the loss of your XRP. Err on the side of caution and check each character.

Paste the address carefully into the first entry field and, if possible, include the pickup tag. You can also select No tags on the right. Select the total amount of XRP you wish to withdraw and click Submit.

Source: Binance

Binance requires the inclusion of a 2FA code and will also send you an e-mail for verification. Open your inbox and check that the withdrawal address you entered is correct, then confirm the transaction.

Withdrawal transaction information can be found by going to the Funds tab on Binance and selecting Withdrawals from the drop-down menu.

It will take some time, but next to the Txid field of the relevant withdrawal will appear a link that will take you to a block explorer, where you can see the progress of your transaction. This will serve as proof once completed.

If all went well, you now own XRP and it has been stored in the portfolio of your choice.

Congratulations!
