Hope is disappearing in the rescue of a boy who has fallen into a pit

E & # 39; sin saving efforts and fighting against the time we seek for a "miracle" in Spain. More than a hundred operators, supported by the arrival of new machines, still try to avoid the tragedy announced in Malaga.

The two-year-old Yulen boy fell last Sunday in a depth of over 100 meters. The term well, it should be understood, is more practical than real: in reality it is a simple opening of about 25 centimeters in diameter.

It is in these conditions, and with the risk of overthrowing, that the Spanish authorities are looking for the child, in an operation involving elements of the Guardia Civil, emergency services, civil protection and firefighters – as reported by the local press .

The incident occurred around 14h (13h on the mainland of Portugal) last Sunday. It was the family that saw the child fall from this perspective of water with nothing to do to avoid it.

The baby will still be heard crying shortly after falling.

In the social networks, the Spanish authorities have reported the work done. At the start of this Tuesday morning, with work already underway, there was no news yet.

As we understood yesterday, there are three complex alternatives on the table to try to reach the place where the child will be. A camera that drops up to 70 meters has not been able to find the smallest one.

Perhaps the last case of rescue in the minds of many readers is still that of the youth soccer team in the caves of Thailand last year. The happy ending of this then involved a complex process. There was also a fight against time.

But the conditions surrounding this ransom for little Yulen are particularly difficult: we do not know how the child fell, that is, how big the fall is along the well. It is not known whether the child has reached the water area. It is not yet known whether, given the fragile structure, the fall of the boy did not lead to his burial.

The same family, a second tragedy

This case dominated the attention in Spain, which closely followed the boy's rescue operations.

The worst is feared, however, for a family that in 2017 had experienced a similar tragedy. The same parents then lost a three-year-old boy, out of sickness, at a time when Yulen was only months old.

La Vanguardia tells us that the same Sunday that everything happened, the boy's maternal grandmother, understandably shaken, has left an appreciable publication on Facebook, addressing Oliver, the three-year-old boy who died in 2017. "Your brother needs you" .

However, more than 40 hours after the accident, and with the flame of a stain of hope disappearing, the rescue of the little Yulen continues.
