Honor to have the flagship with Snapdragon 888 coming soon

In the presentation made yesterday, December 1, by Cristiano Amon, CEO of Qualcomm, Honor was not mentioned in particular, but his subsequent words indicate a collaboration between Qualcomm and Honor that could generate a top of the range with Snapdragon 888.

In an interview, Amon was pleased with the emergence of a new player in the market, with benefits for users, and indicated that the two companies would talk. Honor, we recall, was sold by Huawei to a consortium in an attempt to revitalize it, given the American embargo on the brand. Qualcomm, meanwhile, applied for a license to supply chips to Huawei, but it was limited to 4G chips, in dubious logic.

Between the lines, we can see that there is a chance for Honor to soon launch a top of the range with Snapdragon 888. It will be impossible for Honor to use the Kirin 9000, not because of its scarcity, but because it will be in its best interest to cut any relationship with Huawei. they are not part of the American target, which leaves few alternatives.

Therefore, Honor’s next flagship, Honor V40, could be launched in January with Mediatek Dimensity 1000+. It will be too early for a device with Snap 888.
