Hard Forks Ethereum Nowa (ETN) and Ethereum Classic Vision (ETCV) identified as possible scams

[ad_2][ad_1]

The two additional forks of Ethereum Nowa (ETN) and Ethereum Classic Vision (ETCV) were reviewed after reports emerged that both are taking private keys from users seeking to redeem additional coins. So they use private keys to empty the wallets of those who try to participate in the launches. The ETCV rigid swingarm was supposed to take place yesterday, January 11th, while the ETN rigid swingarm was scheduled for today, January 12th.

Several warning signs and words of caution

In the case of Ethereum Nowa, there were strict words of caution on the BitcoinTalk forum warning that the fork was fraudulent and had a fake team. The photos of the team members would be taken from Shutterstock. The project website is also suspect because it requires users who want the airdrop to send an ETH to a specific address and then export their private keys to a new ETN portfolio.

When you look for the address provided by the ETNS project on Etherscan, you are greeted by a message that warns users not to send anything to the address. He claims:

Do not send anything here. Anti-scam / airdrop fork.

Ethereum World News had previously warned that unless the additional ETH forks were supported by major exchanges such as Binance and OKEx, there was a high probability that they were not legitimate.

Both Binance and OKEx had asked the developers who were trying to do an airdrop on Ethereum's blockchain, to contact them directly. Based on the fact that neither of the two exchanges provided further information regarding additional forks of Ethereum, it can be assumed that ETN and ETCV launches are not reliable.

Also note that visitors who attempt to access the Ethereum Classic Vision website receive the following warning from the MetaMask plug-in on their web browser.

This domain is currently present in the list of alerts of the MetaMask domain. This means that based on the information at our disposal, MetaMask believes that this domain could currently compromise security and, as an additional security feature, MetaMask has limited access to the site.
