Google Pixel 5 in metal or plastic? The video tells the whole truth

[ad_1]

In 2020, Google opted for a different strategy. The Pixel 5 arrived on the market with a high-end processor (the Snapdragon 765G) and the tech giant hasn’t launched a true flagship.

Another detail in relation to the equipment is that it has wireless charging, but the back is not made of glass. Google claims on the official website that the back of the smartphone is made of metal, but an endurance test tells another story.

The back of the Google Pixel 5 is mostly plastic

The well-known youtuber JerryRigEverything has tested the durability of Google Pixel 5. And as you can see in the video, the metal is there, under the various layers of plastic on the back of the terminal.

The front of the smartphone is glass and has Corning Gorilla Glass 6. As an industry standard, it is only scratched from level 6 on the Mohs scale. Deep risks appear from level 7 onwards.

The Pixel 5 may also have a plastic-coated back with metal underneath. But that doesn’t make it a perishable tool to fold easily. As you can see in the video, it holds up quite well after several dubbing attempts.

Once again, Google has chosen not to officially sell the Pixel 5 in Portugal. But if you still want to buy it, it’s available for sale in stores like Ya Phone, which we recommend. The shipment is made from Spain and you will have the equipment in a few days.
