Get ready for a new print edition of Bitcoin magazine!

In May 2012, the first printed copy of Bitcoin Magazine – the original publication dedicated exclusively to Bitcoin – made its debut. Founded by Vitalik Buterin and Mihai Alisie, that first edition with its iconic anonymous mask on the cover has become one of the most sought after works in the Bitcoin space.

Buterin and Alisie later joined forces with Orlando's publishing company, based in Florida, to produce 22 issues. BTC Media (now BTC Inc) acquired Bitcoin Magazine in 2014 and moved the publication entirely online.

Today, on the anniversary of the Bitcoin genesis block, we are extremely excited to announce that the first print edition of Bitcoin Magazine in 5 years it will be released from the press in the summer of 2019.

Like the previous printed editions of Bitcoin Magazinethis latest version will be crammed with informative articles about Bitcoin – but this time, informed by the experience that brought us 10 years of Bitcoin.

Like that very first edition, we will look back at the brilliant cypherpunks and the first contributors that made Bitcoin possible. Then we will chronicle some of the progress that Bitcoin has brought in the present, as well as those that promise to bring it into the future.

We will focus on builders, community leaders, supporters and evangelists. And we will bring many of those items on the pages of Bitcoin Magazine to tell their stories and give their insights.

There will be many stories of established goals, challenges encountered and obstacles still to be overcome, as well as reflections on some of the growing pains that this nascent industry has experienced.

In 2012, Vitalik and Mihai were distributing Bitcoin Magazine from their backpacks to anyone who even has a fleeting interest in some mysterious, magical internet money. Today, with 10 years of history behind it, Bitcoin is almost a household name, and more and more people are curious about this "digital gold" that they have heard about. Our intention is to distribute tens of thousands of copies in hundreds of locations and events around the world.

We hope you will not see the time of this new printed edition of Bitcoin Magazine with all the anxious expectations we will have – and that it helps to spread the news with us.
