A bit of a shame was launched on the recent hype and celebration of the launch of the BitTorrent Token (BTT) by the former Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) of the torrent company, Simon Morris.
Following the acquisition of BitTorrent by TRON's founder and CEO, Justin Sun, the hypothesis was that BTT would be launched on the TRON network. However, Morris has serious doubts that TRON will be able to handle the volume of transactions that the global file sharing network would produce.
BTT Will Destroy TRON
In the Friday interview with BreakerMag, Morris rejected the transactional ability of TRON, claiming that BTT would "dissolve":
"It was very clear when I was [at BitTorrent] that there was no way for Tron's transaction capacity [work]. The transactional capacity of us [were] watching needed hundreds of transactions per second just to get started. Simply there is not. Feel all the crap out there, oh, this makes 10,000 transactions per second. It's all shit. We would have dissolved Tron. To literally destroy it. "
Morris explained that BTT will probably end up being a centralized token, although it predicts that the service will be presented as a new whim of technology. He said:
"I suspect what they are going to do is that they will do it on a central server, they will shake their hands and they will say," Oh, it's a Lightning Network for Tron, "or something, and they pretend it's Tron -based. "
Justin Sun and members of the BitTorrent team refused to comment, but according to Morris, who worked personally with Sun, this is not surprising.

Morris relates an incident in which he urged Sun to clarify the white plagiarism of TRON – a fact that even most TRON supporters have now come to terms with. Morris recalled:
"I said," Justin, maybe what you should do is recognize the fact that you were young and rude, and maybe it happened, but now you've gone ahead and you're building things sincerely … "
Sun's refusal to move is what motivated Morris to compare him to the president of the United States of America, Donald Trump. Morris criticized Sun's tendency to double by denying his mistakes and he called this "Trumpian" behavior.
The farewell shots did not end there, since Morris called TRON a marketing machine built on a thin coating of technology, and stated that while Justin Sun was a great seller, "it does not have a technical bone in its body ".
TRX price
The TRX was the worst performer in the first forty coins by market capitalization on Saturday morning, with a decline of 11.8% from peak to downstream. This led TRX from a price of $ 0.026243 to $ 0.023127 overnight.
The downward movement was probably already on the cards given TRX's surge to a maximum close to six months just three days ago. The TRX trade volume recently hit an eight-month high, finally surpassing the $ 1 billion mark for the first time since April 2018.
