Ethereum technology fundraising platform launches pioneering initiative to unleash social change with Crypto – The Daily Hodl

Fundraising crypt is underway. Fourteen organizations are collaborating with a platform that supports entrepreneurs and non-profit organizations working for social causes – from the elimination of 250,000 marijuana condemnations by 2019 to protection from censorship and from policies that threaten privacy on the Internet.

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin, senior MIT Digital Currency Initiative advisor Michael Casey, BitGo chief technology officer Benedict Cha and Cornell University professor and IC3 co-director Emin Gün Sirer lend their support as WeTrust consultants, a decentralized platform for financial products designed to reach billions of unassigned people worldwide.

Built on Ethereum's blockchain, WeTrust was co-founded by ex-Googler George Li in 2016 with a focus on financial inclusion. The San Francisco-based startup launched its fundraising initiative, WeTrust Spring, to create a seamless connection with cryptogens, investors and hodlers who want to reach non-profit organizations, with their cryptography.

ETH is the initial donation option for the platform with other scrambled accepted planned for the future.

WeTrust Spring will now combine 100% of ETH donations, up to $ 100k, from anyone contributing to the following organizations – with the donation campaign that goes through November 27th.
