Vitalik Buterin may be the giver of Ether after all …

The co-founder of Ethereum, 24-year old Vitalik Buterin, has been giving away Ethereum via Twitter. This is not just one of those Twitter scams where you have to send a small amount to a given wallet. No: Buterin has handed out to the trio of Ethereum grants to new projects.

Buterin himself won a $ 100,000 fellowship grant earlier in his career, that paved the way for Ethereum. And he's bestowed a similar amount on the projects concerned, each of which is building for the Ethereum 2.0 platform.

The projects were being discussed on a Twitter thread, where people were arguing that was a lack of funding. Enter Buterin via his own Twitter account – Vitalik Non-giver of Ether is its current title – who is replied to with "just sent 1000 eth. Yolo ".

PryLabs was the first of the three recipients, and here's the Twitter chat …

Next up? That's be Sigma Prime, a project that had been rejected for some grants, and that duly attracted Buterin's attention …

Buterin had one more grant to give out. This time, it went to a Canadian firm by the name of ChainSafe.

And off Buterin went to sleep. Looking to build Ethereum 2.0 remains to be seen. It was a very good Wednesday …
