While responding to a Twitter user who asked if he had contracted the disease, Musk confirmed that despite having “very different results” from multiple tests, he was most likely facing a “moderate case” of COVID-19.

@erujabidi I am getting very different results from different labs, but I most likely have a moderate case of covid. My symptoms are those of a minor cold, which is not surprising, as a coronavirus is a type of cold.

Musk’s admission comes after he claimed early Friday morning that he had been tested for COVID-19 “four times” and received mixed results.

Something extremely bogus is happening. Today it has been covid tested four times. Two tests were negative, two were positive. Same machine, same test, same nurse. Rapid BD antigen test.

With his recent probable diagnosis, Musk also described the symptoms and personal remedies he relied on while battling the virus.

@AstroJordy @erujabidi A little bit about & amp; down. It looks just like a normal cold, but more aching in the body & amp; cloudy head from coughing / sneezing. DayQuil rocks.

He also went deeper into describing how he was tested for COVID-19.

@PPathole @AstroJordy @erujabidi Running tests from different labs, at the same time of day, administered by RN & amp; I am requesting the PCR cycle threshold of the N1 gene. There is no official standard for PCR testing. I’m not sure if people realize this.

According to Reuters, polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests are more accurate than rapid tests.

Musk’s COVID-19 diagnosis comes during a big weekend for his rocket manufacturing company SpaceX, which launched the first operational flight of its Crew Dragon spacecraft with NASA this evening.

And even though Musk was recovering from his diagnosis, he still commemorated the successful launch.
