Crypto Whale Watch: Bitcoin, Ethereum and XRP on the move while a $ 523 million transfer is unveiled

Crypto whales are particularly active this week amid substantial fluctuations in bitcoin prices.

Whale watchers have seen two huge transfers worth over half a billion dollars on Thursday, while 350,000 Ethereum (ETH) have made their way to the cryptic US-based Bittrex exchange. At the same time, 130.005 Bitcoins (BTC) left Bittrex and moved to an unknown portfolio.

As speculation on large transfers grew, Bittrex released a statement that confirmed that it was the big fish, saying that there was no need to worry about a potential compromise or imminent sale.

"We are in the process of reorganizing and expanding cold storage, resulting in the transfer of funds between our cold portfolios. There is no need to be worried."

Bitcoin

The largest Bitcoin transfers in the last week totaled more than $ 62 million. Two of these four transfers came from unknown portfolios to exchange Bitpinex, indicating that a seller could try to download the BTC.

XRP

The XRP was relatively quiet after Ripple sent a series of massive cryptographic transfers totaling over $ 755 million.

In the last seven days, the most important transaction was 28.966.450 XRP, worth $ 10.6 million, moving from one unknown portfolio to another.

Ethereum

Ethereum recorded the largest number of significant transfers during the last week. A total of 12 separate cryptographic transfers totaling over $ 169 million moved around the crypto-verse.

Most transfers were transferred from Bitfinex encryption to unknown portfolios. Bitfinex has not confirmed whether it is the whale in question or whether the transfers came from its customers.
