Coronavirus Romania, 22 November. In Romania, 418,645 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed. 295,148 patients were declared cured.

Sunday’s budget was 5,837 people infected with Covid-19, following over 20,790 tests.

The latest record was set on Wednesday: 10,269 new cases in 24 hours and 168 deaths.

Balance sheet for Saturday 22 November

To date, on November 22, 418,645 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed in Romania. 295,148 patients were declared cured.

Following the tests carried out at national level, compared to the last report, they were recorded 5,837 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19), these are cases that have not previously had a positive test. The distribution by counties of the total and new cases can be found in the table below.

To date, 10,047 people have died diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection.

Between 21.11.2020 (10:00) and 22.11.2020 (10:00) were reported 131 dead (69 men and 62 women), of some patients infected with the new coronavirus, hospitalized in the hospitals of Alba, Arad, Argeș, Bacău, Bihor, Bistrița-Năsăud, Botoșani, Brăila, Brașov, Caraș-Severin, Constanța, Covasna, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Galați, Harghita, Ialomița, Iași, Maramureș, Mehedinți, Mureș, Prahova, Sibiu, Sălaj, Suceava, Teleorman, Timiş, Vâlcea, Vaslui and Vrancea.

Of these, Two deaths were recorded in the 40-49 age group, 10 deaths in the age group 50-59, 32 deaths in the age group 60-69, 56 deaths in the age group 70-79 and 31 deaths in the age group over 80.

125 of the deaths recorded concern some patients with comorbidities, 4 deceased patients did not have comorbidities and for 2 deceased patients no comorbidities have been reported so far.

In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 13,492. Of these, 1,174 are hospitalized at ATI.

To date, 3,898,743 tests have been developed nationwide. Of these, 20,790 were performed in the last 24 hours, 13,258 based on case definition and medical protocol and 7,532 upon request.

In Romania, 47,525 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are in home isolation and 12,587 people are in institutional isolation. In addition, 74,922 people are in quarantine at home and 15 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours, 3,588 calls were recorded to the single emergency number 112.

Following the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55/2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, on November 21 this year, 7,208 penalties for minor crimes, equal to 1,175,680 lei.
Moreover, through the competent police structures, yesterday 3 crimes were ascertained to combat the fight against diseases, an act envisaged and punished by art. 352 criminal code.

The situation of Romanians in the diaspora

We remind citizens that the Ministry of the Interior has made operational, starting from 04.07.2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where violations of health protection regulations can be reported.
The calls are taken over by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified problems.

As for the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, 6,864 Romanian citizens were confirmed infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (coronavirus): 1,935 in Italy, 1,253 in Spain, 124 in France, 3,018 in Germany, 167 in the United Kingdom, 36 in Hungary, 28 in Holland, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the USA, 123 in Austria, 22 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 8 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 93 in Greece, 10 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine, 8 in the United Arab Emirates and one in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, Republic of Congo, Qatar, Vatican, Portugal and Egypt. From the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic to today, 126 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the United States, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of the Congo and one in Greece have died.
