RIYADH – Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health recorded 263 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday in the past 24 hours, marking a slight increase after reporting record cases earlier this week.

The Kingdom recorded 217 and 220 cases on Sunday and Saturday respectively, the lowest number in a single day in more than eight months since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.

The ministry also reported another 11 deaths in the past 24 hours, marking the lowest number of virus-related deaths in a single day in more than eight months since the coronavirus outbreak in the Kingdom.

This brings the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 357,623 and deaths to 5,907.

The ministry also reported 374 new recoveries in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of people free of the deadly virus to 347,176 with a recovery rate rising to 97.07%.
