ConsenSys buys Truffle Suite to strengthen Ethereum tools

Ethereum-based solution provider ConsenSys has announced the acquisition of the team and technology of blockchain developer tools maker, Truffle Suite. The company has not disclosed the terms and conditions of the acquisition.

According to the official announcement, ConsenSys has purchased Truffle Suite to strengthen its range of Ethereum tools. ConsenSys users can now access built-in smart contract compilation and binary management.

The truffle was one of the first projects incubated by ConsenSys. It has since grown rapidly and now over 1.3 million developers around the world use Truffle Suite. The acquisition of Truffle adds another product to the ConsenSys portfolio which includes Quorum, Codefi, Infura and MetaMask.

Commenting on the acquisition, Joseph Lubin, founder of ConsenSys, said, “The Truffle Suite is essential for developers to get started on Ethereum and Web3 and is invaluable in increasing the adoption of Mainnet applications and enterprise blockchain solutions alike. Ethereum Development Framework

Launched in 2015, Truffle is one of the most popular blockchain development tools in the industry as it is designed to manage the entire blockchain developer workflow, including smart contract development and front-end application. The Truffle suite consists of Truffle Teams, Truffle, Ganache and Drizzle. “As the most popular Ethereum development framework, it is only natural that Truffle is part of the ConsenSys product stack.
