CinemaCon 2021 jumps from spring to summer – Deadline

CinemaCon has set dates for next year and is extremely cautious due to the pandemic. Originally scheduled for April 26-29, the exhibition-film distribution conference at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas will now take place between August 23-26, 2021.

This year’s CinemaCon was canceled as COVID-19 took over the nation, with a slew of canceled conferences. Not to mention, many of the nation’s big movie circuits have closed due to local ordinances.

Another reason for the transition to summer comes from restrictions on ongoing international travel and limits on large gatherings.

“With all the concerns related to travel, logistics and capacity for the convention, our 7,500 attendees, suppliers and distribution partners in the studio, we could not guarantee that we could present the kind of show the industry expects in April,” he said Mitch, managing director of CinemaCon Neuhauser. “In close consultation with our studio and industry partners, we reschedule CinemaCon for August when we think we can stage the kind of showcase we do best and celebrate the film experience with the entire industry.”
