A flat Bundesliga fee for one cent per year: Amazon Prime is currently trying to attract new customers with this curious campaign offer. Anyone who signs up for a subscription and books the Eurosport channel can watch select Bundesliga matches live every weekend.

This is made possible by the collaboration between the streaming service and Eurosport. Prime customers have been able to pre-order the Eurosport Player for a long time. Eurosport, in turn, has sublicensed the originally acquired rights to the games in the German top division to DAZN.

These games are shown

Amazon is now selling Eurosport Channel access for a penny to its Prime members. This means that paying customers can see all the games that DAZN is allowed to broadcast. This contains

  • all Friday matches of the 1st Bundesliga
  • all games on Sundays at 1.30pm
  • all Monday at 20:30, if they take place.

An upcoming highlight, for example, is the duel between Hertha BSC and Union Berlin on 4 December.

Significantly cheaper than a DAZN subscription

Amazon Prime customers can find Eurosport Player on the Prime Video page under the “Channels” tab. The channel can be booked there with just a few clicks. The 1 cent offer is valid until the end of the year. How it will continue afterwards is unclear.

For comparison: a DAZN subscription currently costs 119.99 euros per year. Bundesliga fans get by much cheaper with a Prime membership plus channel booking. Amazon charges 69 euros per year for its Prime service. Users can also opt for a monthly cancellable model for $ 7.99.
