For this transaction, the newly-formed Albania Telecom Invest will pay 50 million euros.

The transaction is financed by the Albanian branch of the First Investment Bank and will be completed in the first half of 2019, after being assisted by the market arbitrators.

Spa Rusev told Capital.bg that this transaction is only the beginning of its regional expansion:

"This is the first phase of my attempt to strengthen the telecommunications market in the Balkans". He says he is negotiating with Deutsche Telekom to take over the company from Romania after Macedonia, says hotnews.ro. The Bulgarian daily notes that Rusev will need an "important and resolvable" partner, given that Romanian telecommunications are "very expensive".

Capital.bg also writes that Deutsche Telekom is trying to renounce non-strategic investments in the region and that the Romanian and Serbian telecommunications subsidiaries are for sale.
